ALUMNAE
Eligibility
Alumnae members must be alumnae of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln or have another significant affiliation with UNL, and must be annual or life members of the Nebraska Alumni Association. Members must also have achieved significant success in their careers and/or civic activities. Qualified applicants must be out of undergraduate school for a minimum of six years.

Participation
Alumnae members are expected to attend at least one of the two biannual meetings. Alumnae are matched with collegians and are asked to serve as mentors by providing support and advice. Additional opportunities are available to participate on Cather Circle committees and task forces. Though not a requirement, alumnae are encouraged to make internships (paid or unpaid) and job-shadowing opportunities available to students through their own places of business or through their network of connections.

Terms
Alumnae terms are for three years with the option to renew for additional terms. Upon completion of their term, alumnae members are eligible to join the "Willas," the "retired" group of alumnae members who wish to stay connected to the program without full active participation.

Dues and Meeting Fees
Alumnae dues are currently $200 per term; $100 the first year, and $50 each during the second and third years. Alumnae also pay fees for each meeting they attend to cover the cost of meals and program supplies. The most recent meeting fee was $100.

Nominations and Selection
Alumnae nominations may be placed by anyone. Self-nominations are also accepted. The deadline is May 15 of any given year. The selection committee will meet in June, and letters of invitation will be issued in July. Selection is based upon the accomplishments of the nominee with consideration given to the group’s demographics and an effort to maintain professional, geographical, generational and ethnic/racial diversity.
